Requirements to Apply:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in insurance, risk management, or actuarial science or will be pursuing a career in mutual property/casualty insurance after completion of degree.
Attending a U.S. college or university in the fall of 2026.
U.S. citizen and seeking employment in North America upon graduation.
2 Letters of recommendation
500-word essay describing chosen career path and goals
Copy of transcripts
Authorization from the dean, department head, and/or an authorized school representative

Spencer Educational Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship Awards:
Range from $5,000 - $10,000

Requirements to Apply:

Must seek a career in Risk Management, Insurance, and/or Actuarial Science.
Must be enrolled at an accredited college/university in the United States and Canada for at least one full academic year (two semesters).
Must be enrolled at an accredited college/university in the United States or Canada for Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 (minimum 12-credits, no early graduation consideration before at least Fall 2026 has been fully completed).
Must be physically studying in the United States or Canada (no remote coursework eligibility from locations other than USA & Canada).
Preferred (but not required): Majoring/minoring in Risk Management/Insurance or a related field of study (e.g., actuarial science, business, finance, information technology, etc.)
Preferred (but not required): Relevant work/internship experience and leadership skills.
